Our Heritage

Tovey's Seafood is a third generation family business started in 1935 by William Tovey. Originally located on Easton Road in Bristol, we moved to our current site on Stapleton Road in 1962.

From that base the business has grown and evolved, expanding our range to include exotic fish from around the world alongside traditional British favourites. Today, the business is run by Roger and Peter, sons of William Tovey, together with Kevin, William's grandson. We are proud to carry on the family tradition, bringing excellent customer service and choice to our many customers in and around Bristol.

Fresh Fish and Seafood

Our counters feature a wide selection of fresh fish brought in daily. Choose from traditional family favourites including cod, plaice, smoked haddock, trout and mackerel, as well as more exotic varieties such as snapper, parrot fish, grouper and tuna.

We pride ourselves on sourcing quality fish from British waters and beyond, ensuring freshness and flavour in every purchase.

Shellfish Selection

We stock a large selection of shellfish to suit every taste and occasion. Our range includes cockles, mussels, oysters and tiger prawns, all sourced for quality and freshness.

Frozen and Game

Our frozen section offers a good selection of prawns, shellfish, fish steaks and fillets including pangasius and tilapia. Perfect for stocking your freezer with convenient, quality seafood.

We also carry a small selection of game and poultry for customers looking to expand their culinary horizons beyond seafood.
